Indian Prime Minister Mr.Naradera Modi Visited Shanghai.
on May 16th 2015, the Indian Prime Minister Visited Shanghai and at noon He met the Indian living in China. A grand gala event was held at the Shanghai Expo Centre. It was such a glory for Indians, all indians in the hall stood up and welcomed the Prime Minister by shouting Modi… Modi…Modi… In Return Modi was so thrilled to see the enthusiastic crowd and was glad that he is celebrating his completion of 1 year in office as Prime Minister with Indians in China.
China Has a Indian population of about Out of the 45000 citizens, which includes 13000 Students about 5000 attend the event. From Lecong a delegation of 27 members headed by Mr.Manish Chopra, represented Foshan wing of the Indian Association. Though Some of the members couldn’t attend the meeting they had put in lot of efforts to make this even a wonderful one.
Modi, started his speech with reminding his completion of 1 year in office, and commented that the Bad days are gone. He also added that his year in office had given Indians abroad a new pride in the country. “Earlier, you felt ashamed of being born Indian,” he said. “Now you feel proud to represent the country. Indians abroad had all hoped for a change in government last year.”
Rebutting criticism of his frequent travels abroad, Mr. Modi said he was visiting countries to bring in investment. From China, he flew to Mongolia, and will head next to South Korea, making it the 18th country he is visiting since assuming office.
Modi Also spoke on topics such as history of India China relations ships and why is it important to both the countries and he vowed that next year India will celebrate year of China and asked all Indians in China to bring or invite at least 5 Chinese to India.
For the Indians in china it was a day of celebration and excitement.
